1. Swim and play straight off the boat
The moment you anchor, the sea is yours — no queue, no schedule, no tour group. Slip off the swim platform, grab a paddleboard, pull on a snorkel mask. Families love this part most, because everyone does their own thing at their own speed and the gear is already aboard.
2. Relax in your own floating paradise
There’s a stillness you only get on a boat at anchor in a quiet bay: the light on the water, the gentle roll, nothing you’re supposed to be doing. This is the part group tours can’t sell — unhurried time in a beautiful place with only your own people around you. It’s also, honestly, what most guests remember.
3. Snorkel water nobody else is in
A private crew doesn’t take you where the fleet is — it takes you where the fleet isn’t. That means clearer water, unspooked fish and space to float. The reefs around Phi Phi, Racha and Coral Island are the classics, and morning gives the best visibility. Gear’s on board.
4. Canoe into the sea caves of Phang Nga
If your route runs through Phang Nga Bay, sea-canoeing is the thing not to skip: paddling through low cave mouths into hongs — hidden tidal lagoons ringed by cliffs and jungle. Calm, shaded, and unlike anything else on the itinerary.
5. Claim a beach for an hour
Charter timing means you can hit a beach before or after the crowds — or pick one the tours don’t visit at all. An hour on good sand with your own boat waiting offshore feels like a different holiday from the same beach at noon.
6. Watch the sunset from the deck
