Phi Phi Island Tour from Phuket

    From฿4,810 THBper person · all-inclusive

Three ways to see Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and the Phi Phi islands — every one of them timed to miss the crowds.

Every Phi Phi island tour from Phuket visits the same headline stops — Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Viking Cave, Monkey Beach and a snorkel reef or two. What actually decides your day is when you arrive and how many people you share the boat with. Simba Sea Trips runs three ways to do Phi Phi: a join-in sunrise tour that reaches Maya Bay before the day-tripper fleet, a seasonal sunset departure that has the bays to itself in the late afternoon, and a fully private charter on your own schedule. All three carry a maximum of 18 adults — against the 30–60 typical on standard tour boats — and every price you see is final and all-inclusive, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.

Here’s what two decades of running this route has taught us: the classic mid-morning Phi Phi tour delivers you to Maya Bay at exactly the moment several thousand other visitors arrive. The bay is still beautiful — but you’ll experience it over shoulders and selfie sticks. That’s why we deliberately don’t run a standard-hours tour. Our boats leave Boat Lagoon Marina at first light, you catch the sunrise at sea during the crossing, and you step onto Maya Bay while the sand still shows this morning’s tide lines rather than footprints. By the time the crowds arrive, we’re already anchored in Pileh Lagoon or over the reef.

The Phi Phi Sunrise Tour (from ฿5,310 per person, all-inclusive) is the join-in version of that philosophy and our most-booked trip. From November to April the Phi Phi Sunset Shark Tour (from ฿4,810) flips the timing — afternoon light, quiet bays and blacktip reef sharks over the shallows. And if you’d rather set your own itinerary, the Phi Phi Sunrise Private Charter (from ฿40,700 for the whole boat) gives your group the same route with total flexibility.

Simba Sea Trips has operated small-group speedboat tours from Phuket since 2005 — family-owned, run day-to-day by an owner who brings 23 years of aviation safety experience to marine operations, with local Thai captains who read these waters year-round. It’s the reason thousands of verified reviews across TripAdvisor, Google and GetYourGuide keep mentioning the same two things: how empty the bays were, and how looked-after they felt. The crossing from Boat Lagoon Marina to Phi Phi takes about 1 hour 10 minutes on our boats.

What Guests Say About These Tours

    TripAdvisor★★★★★

Had an amazing experience with Simba Sea Trips! Everything was incredibly well organized from the hotel pickup to the entire Phi Phi Islands trip. The small-group setup made the experience feel much more relaxed and enjoyable, and the whole day ran smoothly. A special mention to Sara, She was absolutely fantastic! Friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the trip more enjoyable. She took great care of everyone, explained everything clearly, and created such a fun atmosphere throughout the day. The crew, snorkeling spots, food, and overall service were excellent. Definitely one of the highlights of our Phuket trip. Highly recommend Simba Sea Trips, and if you’re lucky enough to have Sara on your tour, you’re in great hands!

This trip was great. Transport actually came early and we were on the boat by 6am. Sara gave us a quick brief and we watched the sunrise on the way to Maya beach. The beach was pretty empty and the breakfast was good with plenty of food. We had a lot of time to swim and snorkel at the stops and they pointed out cool fish and baby sharks to see in the water. There were only 7 of us so plenty of room on the boat although the seating was enough that it wouldn’t feel too crowded even when full. Everything was well organized. Sara and crew were great definitely recommend this island boat tour it was my favorite tour of my trip!
