The boat ride itself was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the entire crew was incredibly kind, funny, helpful and genuinely caring. We felt looked after the whole day. 🥰 A huge THANK YOU especially for all the help with snorkeling. The crew were amazing with our children – they patiently helped them, showed them what to look for underwater and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. 🐠💙 Thanks to them, the whole family could truly enjoy the snorkeling experience. Phi Phi Sunrise Tour — Maya Bay Before the Crowds
The classic Phi Phi day done properly. Catch sunrise at sea during the ~1hr 10min speedboat transit from Boat Lagoon Marina, then step onto Maya Bay around 7:15am — about an hour ahead of every other operator. Why the sunrise tour beats the standard Phi Phi day. Every other Phi Phi operator out of Phuket leaves around 8am and arrives at Maya Bay between 9 and 10am — the same time as the day-trip fleet from Krabi, Koh Lanta, and Phi Phi Don. We leave Boat Lagoon Marina at 6am. The sunrise itself happens at sea during the ~1hr 10min transit, with the Andaman colour-show breaking over open water as you head south-east. We arrive at Maya Bay around 7:15am, walk an empty beach, swim in clear water, and are pulling away by 8:30am as the first day-tripper boats roll in. The early start is the entire point.
What you actually see in eight hours. Seven stops with real time at each: Maya Bay first (or Bamboo Island in August-September when Phi Phi National Park closes Maya Bay for restoration), then the emerald-water Pileh Lagoon, two hand-picked snorkel reefs chosen on the day for conditions, the Viking Cave and Monkey Beach drift-by, and a final tropical-beach stop at Bamboo Island or Koh Rang Yai depending on the sea. Lunch is back at Soho Pool Club on the Boat Lagoon Marina — buffet, sit-down, with coffee, tea, soft drinks and water all included. No alcohol on the boat, but you can buy it back at Soho if you want a beer at lunch.
The boat and the group. Standard fleet capacity is a hard 18-adult cap (19 total if children are aboard) — actually a small group, not “small group” marketing copy. The boat is a purpose-built tour speedboat with shade, life jackets, floating aids, and snorkel gear for every guest. We hire and train our own crew rather than running independent freelancers — Captain Paul Chappell, a former international airline captain with 23+ years of professional safety training, holds the operational standard. National park fees, hotel pickup from anywhere on the main Phuket tourist coast, light breakfast, and the buffet lunch are all included. The price you see is the price you pay; we absorbed the VAT and the Bokun booking fee in 2025 so there’s nothing added at checkout.
When to book and how cancellation works. This tour runs every day year-round, weather permitting. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. Inside 24 hours we charge the full fare unless we cancel the trip ourselves for sea-condition safety, in which case the full deposit is refunded. Documented COVID positive tests are refunded in full at any time. We don’t oversell — once 18 adults are booked, that day is closed.
