Over the years we have received more and more requests for a kayaking component to be added to our boat tours. Well, we’ve listened and in 2022 Simba Sea Trips is now fully equipped to provide this option. The benefits of including kayaking as part of your private boat tour itinerary are two-fold.
Firstly, kayaking is one of the most intimate ways to explore the Phuket islands as it allows you to go places that our speedboats can’t go. Paddle your way close to shore and explore the undergrowth, or traverse to caves that otherwise can’t be observed from so close.
Secondly, by spending a majority of the private boat tour on a kayak helps us to reduce fuel emissions. The more time we spend paddling around, the less time our engine is running. Spending over 18 years in the Phuket region, and witnessing its beauty on a daily basis, we are very considerate of protecting the region. Anytime we can switch off the engine and paddle around in a kayak is an added bonus!
SNORKELING IN THE CORAL REEFS
Not only does our popular coral delight program explore the region’s most beautiful coral reefs but we also provide this option as part of our private boat tours. Two of the most highly recommended locations for snorkeling are at Coral island and the private Mai Thon Island to the south of Phuket.
We can arrive and explore these beautiful reefs before the crowds of other tour boats arrive. Be amazed at the awesome variety of fish and corals at these locations, and perhaps even get lucky as a local dolphin pod (which regularly inhabits the area) drops by for a visit
After snorkeling either of these two beautiful locations, lounge around in the sea at the cliff base of majestic limestone karsts that makes these regions famous, just like you would see at the Phi Phi islands and Phang Nga Bay.

Fully Customizable Tours
When it comes to experiencing Phuket as a tourist, there is always so much to do and so little time to do it. While many of our guests are more than satisfied with our proven, standard tours, we understand some are craving their own adventure. For over 18 years the Simba team has helped guests to craft private boat tours that appeal to their own personal interests and it is for this reason alone that we continue to often customized tours to our loyal customers.
The only limitations…
Whilst the day on the water is completely your call, there are some standard rules that all our tours need to abide by:
Pickup from your hotel normally occurs at approximately 5am for a 6am departure from the marina on the day of your tour. We return you to your hotel at approximately 3pm.These times are flexible, however for planning purposes we spend around 8 hours on tour. Hotel pickup is complimentary on Phuket island only.
Price shown excludes 2% booking fee and alcohol purchases. Balance is to be paid by cash (baht), Visa, or Mastercard on the morning of departure (not American Express).
We will email you an exact pick-up time at midday the day before the tour. Should changes be made to bookings within 5 days of the tour date (date change, tour change, passenger booking reduction) Simba reserves the right to apply a 750 baht per person booking amendment fee.
