Can one stay at Koh Khai?
No. There are no overnight stays allowed on the island as there are not resorts or hotels there. This is one of the few disadvantages. One of the options to consider near Koh Kai is a hotel called Koh Lipe which is about 18 km from Koh Khai Phuket. The other option is to stay in government operated bungalows on Koh Adang or camp there if you are allowed to. Although most will charter a boat and see it all in a day.
Khai islands have become a popular tourist attraction so even if they can be a bit crowded, they are well worth the visit.
